Plumed Serpent
One of the central gods in all of Mesoamerica. His cult dates back at least to the first century AD. In Aztec culture he was the creator of man. In this baptismal font, the legs are carved into 4 Plumed Serpents, each spitting up another Plumed Serpent, a common motif in indigenous art.
